General and Cosmetic Dentist, FounderDr. Leslie Nevarez is a general and cosmetic dentist and the founder of Guava Dental in Riverview, where she has spent more than a decade crafting beautiful, lasting smiles for patients of every age. She earned her dental degree from the University of Florida in 2013 and has since pursued extensive continuing education, with a special focus on cosmetic and restorative care, from smile makeovers and porcelain veneers to same-day crowns. Named Tampa's Dentist of the Year 2025 by Tampa Style Magazine, she is known for pairing meticulous, artful dentistry with a gentle, unhurried approach that puts even the most anxious patients at ease. Dr. Nevarez listens first, explains every option honestly, and treats each person like part of the Guava family. Raised in a close-knit Puerto Rican family in Southeast Florida, she now calls Tampa Bay home alongside her husband, Ricardo, their three children, and two dogs. Outside the office, she loves quilting, orchid gardening, hiking, and building LEGOs, several of which you'll spot around the practice.
